1.I have what is supposed to be a 1953 model, but even the previous owner didn't know where the serial number plate is at. Could someone enlighten me?

2. I priced the curved exaust elbow that comes off the manifold at $110 or so at the dealer. Any cheaper sources?

3. When I bought this tractor it had the 38" rims. I would prefer the 30" but I'm also concerned about what I'll lose on road speed. Does anyone have a spec sheet or anything else that would show? I hate to buy new tires only to find that it's too slow!
|Thank you!

The 16.9 x 30 tires have approx. the same revolutions per mile as the 13.6 x 38 tires , therefore the ratio & speed are virtually the same. Needless to say you will have the same ground clearace dimension , but you will gain a distinct advantage in flotation characteristics , which is favorable on soft ground & wet con ditions.

ed,check firewall on inside toward engine, there should be a tag at the top center or left of center, and housing above starter area will be stamped into it,for your serial number..2,you may want to check the salvage yard nearest you, there are elbows around check the web sites here...3 ive just put 18x4.30 tires on and took off 12x38,i didnt lose much speed maybe 1-3 mph but at 20 mph top speed with 12x38,do you think youll notice..slow is slow..good luck..ray
