I am thinking of buying an old tractor. Fordson. List of Dates on the left of Steering Column with latest one reading August ??, 1923. Does anyone have any info or experience with Fordsons from that era? Only asking $200 and could be sandblasted and repainted. Rust not that bad at all. Respond to my email please. Thank you

You hid your email address so I can't respond that way.

For $200 I would think you could get your money back by selling the parts if nothing else. Question is, what do you intend to do with it? Restore and show? Go for it. Use as a working tractor? Find something more modern. Park in front of the house and use as a mailbox post? Might still be worth the money! If you got it running you could drive the mailbox out to the road every morning and drive it back to the house before dark so the idiot high school kids can't smash it on a Friday night.

I paid $230 for my 1923 Fordson 'F', nearly $2.500 later my Fordson is shiny, beautiful, and running. Of course $700 of that was for new rubber tires. The engine was not stuck, thats the only good thing I could say about it.

I have a pair of Fordson front wheels that have been modified to mount pneumatic rubber tires if that interests you.
