I have just acquired a Fordson Major Diesel. I have no idea of it's date or model. The engine number is D132331. It looks about the 60's and has a no 3 point linkage fitted. There is a flat plate under the seat where I have seen, on othe models, the controls for the 3 point system. There is a large back hoe on it. The hydrolic pump is direct driven off the front of the crankshaft. Can anyone help identify it please.
Cheers

Hye J You well need to find the Serial #. Most are located on a pad at the front right hand side of the engine cylinder block. That is ware i fund my serial# it IS 08D-954342-C it was a 3/1964. On early tractors the # is stamped on the flange of the flywheel housing near the starter mounting. Good luck. Bill

Thanks Bill, I have just looked on the Cylinder block and the pad is there but has no numbers. After scrapeing off the paint and drit on the Flywheel housing I found a number. It is 1323314. I hope this means something to someone.
Cheers

Thank you so much for your help. Yes I do like it when I can get it to run. It has a very suspect Starter Motor. I will get it recond and all will be well.
Thanks
