hi all,
i have a 58/59 fordson dexta. after putting on a newly rebuilt inj pump, i checked the timing. with the spill mark lined up, and looking through inj pump gear window, i see three lines. two lighter lines- one above and one below a third darker line marked "C". the housing mark is lined up exactly with the lowest light mark. figuring the "C" line is where i need to be, i opened the front cover loostened the 3 bolts to adjust. Well, when i attempted to advance to the "C" line i hit a stop before i could get to it. i'm about 3/16 of an inch away. is this ok/close enough/, should i investigate further? i moved the gear plate back and forth to see how much adjustment i would have either way and its not much more than about an half inch either way. should this be ok?
thanks to everyone, david

Couldn't open the image files. My Dexta runs rich then dies as it warms up. Suggestions?
