The E.P. stands for "extreme pressure" which means it is especially made for mating gear surfaces. I think it would be best.

90w gear oil has the same viscosity as 30w engine oil. The viscosities of the two oils are measured differently. HD stands for High Detergent. I use 30w engine oil throughout the whole tractor ( 58 Dexta )and have no problems. Temps range from 6 deg Celcius to 40 + celcius. Do yourself a favour and pull the lift cover off & clean the pickupstrainer & replace the return filter and then clean out the gunk that is sitting in the bottom of the case. I would lay money that there is a heap of sludge in the bottom. I've heard that flushing the system with kerosene & then draining it out before renewing the oil is a good move too. Best of luck.

I use 80w90 in the gearbox and diff. Where I live in Australia the temps range from snow in winter to 100 deg.F. I am quoting from my Fordson Service Manual: For FMD and FPM - Rear axle and final drive lubricant is used for hydraulic fluid; capacity is 10.8 gallons(imperial I presume). SAE 80 Mild E.P. (Ford spec M-4864-A) or SAE-90 Mild E.P. (Ford spec M-4864-B) gear lubricantis recommended.
For FSM and New FSM - Capacity is 10.8 gallons. Lubricant from factory is SAE 30 H.D. oil; however, SAE 80 Mild E.P. or SAE 90 E.P. Mild E.P. is recommended for refill when factory installed lubricant is drained. CAUTION. Do not mix SAE 80 or SAE 90 gear lubricant with SAE 30 H.D. oil as the different type lubricants are not compatible. In my opinion the 80w90 would the best suited to you
