setting rings

hi, got the dexta rebuild done, how long does it take to "set the rings" and how many hours before the first oil/filter change?

10 hours for the first change, fifty for the next. Make sure you dont molycoddle her. Make sure she works reasonably hard, Not at her maximum & try not to let her bog down. Engines that are worked lightly dont tend to settle into a long life like ones that are worked from the get go. Make sure you retension after the first couple of hours use.Good luck.
