Snowblower on '57 Major?

I'm intending to put my '57 Major diesel to work this winter, maybe make back some of the money I've got into it. I plan to put a plow on the front operating off of the hydraulic system, but I also want to put a snowblower on the back. My question is what rpm does the PTO spin at, and is it sufficient to run a typical 6 foot blower?

Hi Jeff,
My Fordson Major spec book shows the following:
PTO take off shaft above drawbar at rear centre of axle, operates at 542 rpm @ 1200 engine rpm. clockwise rotation, 6 splines 34.92mm dia.

I can not answer the question about how much power you need to drive the snow blower. The problem here will be that it will probably work with dry snow, but what about heavy wet snow?
Tony

Thanks for the info, a local dealer tells me it will work but what can you expect from a guy trying to sell you something? I think that 540 rpm is sufficient, according to various specs I've seen.
