It was my understanding that this forum was for discussions and not for the sale of items. If folks would want to sale an item put it in the classifieds. Am I correct??? Or do you Police pick and choose who can or cannot post "For Sale" items? One last thing, if the guy can't read then in my opinion he is a dumb ass!!

Scott:

It is true that the YT site owners request that "For Sale" items go in the classified ads. There are a few folks who don't obey this request. For most of them, a simple reminder will usually result in a change.

It is also the site owners rule that no foul or insulting language be posted on the board. You have violated this several times.

My family (read 'children') & our friends use this site. We do not allow our family members to engage in the language & name calling you continue to post here.

Your behavior is worse than a few misplaced 'For Sale' posts. Please stop it.

Jerry

Scott, before calling people names for not being able to read, you should learn to spell correctly. I know it is minor but you should at least know the difference between "sell" and "sale"!!!
"If folks would want to SALE something"... try SELL!

Where to begin? I know this person posted a for sale add in an area generally reserved for common discussion. Polite reminders are taken far more seriously than beligerant ones. They tend not to make us defensive. I for one am far more put out at foul and crude verbage than than someone who fails to read all the directions. Oh, just incase you had not read all the terms and conditions of using this sight, here is a part of them for you.
You may not transmit or post any message or material which is generally offensive or otherwise unsuitable for publication in our Discussion Boards; including, but not limited to, material that is libelous, defamatory, threatening, abusive, disparaging, indecent, obscene or pornographic. We expressly disclaim any liability for any such messages posted or transmitted to any of our Discussion Boards.

Now maybe you do not consider whay you posted as offensive, but I did. My father taught me that offensive language is what a weak and sensless mind relies on when it has no meaningful response.
May you have a good day.
Roy

As I see it, the real advantage to using the classifieds is the ability to search for an item or have your item come up in a search. But where's the crime if someone wants to post it here? I certainly don't mind reading a few "for sale" posts now & then, though it could get out of hand of course. By the way there's lots of folks who can't read (or don't pay attention to everything on the screen), why do you feel the need to belittle them?
