As I began mechanical restoration (May 1999) of a 1966-year Bolens 1050 tractor with TR-10D engine and several attachments-- I was given much needed
encouragement and confidence in the project from some above. I appreciated those who were courteous and patient with me as I often had several issues /
questions going at the same time. Also many thanks go to individual folks who had some time to lend a few ideas of their own. Thank you BOB P. in Kansas City!!
First real use of the 1050 was with snow blower working well as could be expected with the wet snow. This has been accomplished on my 1050. Rebuilt engine; clutch; PTO; transaxle has new bushings; All seals throughout are replaced. I saved a great deal of
money along the way by the collective assistance from club members, during the rebuild process. I guess I will paint the tractor and a mower deck when good
weather returns. I have several attachments and seek more. I have a 18610-02 Light Tiller attachment (I may sell it when I pick up the big tiller); a 18516-02 Snow Blower attachment; a 18449 38 inch mower needs finish
painting and assembly; a 18457 42 inch mower and many parts I must consider, then paint and assemble if possible; and a Brinly-Hardy Series 500 10 inch
agricultural plow. I hope this helps you as it did me.
