I need to know the recommended rear end dope for my Case 120. Unlike the other Cases and Ingersolls, it is gear drive.

Paul, I recommend you try the folks at the Case YaHoo site. They can tell you about owners manual and parts manual you probably need.
Link

Also, the Ingersoll site might help you locate a source of new parts, manual reprints, etc Link

Ingersoll>Link / Case looks like good equipment.

I am in process of obtaining what I believe is a Case 210 gear drive tractor. I have the engine, hood, and mower deck-- and await delivery of the frame. Maybe by month end.

I also have a 1966- year Bolens 1050 and several attachments that are in various stages of rebuilding. Then hope for a few more attachments.

I hope this helps some.

Does anybody else at this club-- have a source for Parts and Owners manuals for 120 and 210 Case Garden Tractors? Thanks.

Paul, I have a little more information from a book at home by Intertec Publishing; P.O. Box 12901; Oveland Park KS 66282-2901. "Yard & Garden Tractor". Unfortunately it skips right over the Case 120 model in particular-- but does speak to transaxles (and capacities) on the Case 107; 108; 110; and 210. There is also information on disassembly and repair of these Peerless transaxles. Here are fluid details available in this book-- but I would not go by these for your 120 model. Instead I recommend you continue a search for a good user's manual and parts manual for your tractor. Following models would be gear drive units.

Case 107 (7HP Tecumseh); Peerless Transaxle 1200 Series; 2 Pints SAE 90 EP.
Case 108 (8HP Briggs); Peerless Transaxle 600 Series; 2 Pints SAE 90 EP.
Case 110 (10HP Briggs); Peerless Transaxle 600 Series; 2 Pints SAE 90 EP.
Case 210 (10HP Kohler); Peerless Transaxle 2300 Series; 4 Pints SAE 90 EP.

I also checked the availability of manuals for your Case 120 and my Case 210-- here at the Yesterday Tractors pages Link
Unfortunatley>Link again, no info on your tractor (or mine). I saw listings for available Case Garden tractors for these models. 130 (Parts manual and Owners Manual $29.95 Each); 150 (Parts manual only $29.95); 155/195 (Parts manual only $29.95); 180 (Parts manual only $29.95); 190 (Parts manual only $29.95).

It seems our 120 and 210 Gear Drive models were skipped over so we have to order from Ingersoll directly.

Thanks for your kind words.

Thanks David. I'm on the Yahoo Case club. The 120 and the 210 were the only gear drive Cases. Some of the info I've gotten seemed to be more hydro oriented than gear oriented. Just trying to cover all the bases. As always, you are helpful.
