Rod, You have a very rare tractor. The D4-10 is one of the more common Bush Hogs, though. i have a V-3-6, a Vari- Drive model. It is one of three models to have the Vari Drive. It is belt driven, with a belt clutch. You need to talk to Keith Anthony, a friend of mine. He has 3 D4-10's and a D4-7. He also publishes a Bush Hog newsletter that is very cheap to subscribe to. his email is:Kwakeith@raex.com He is a Bush Hog "expert" . If you don't have an owner's manual for this, then he can get you a copy. Oh, and Also, visit my Bush Hog webpage, the first of it's kind, as far as Keith and i know. I will put it so you can click on the words "Bush Hog garden tractors" at the bottom of this message. Bush Hogs were discontinued in the early to mid 70's, and parts can only be obtained by getting some from another tractor or getting a part for something else that is similar to the broken/worn one. Welcome to the Bush Hog family, Rod. Keep 'em goin' , Eric
