I have a Cunningham walk behind garden tractor and would like to know when it was made and what type of motor it came with. It is a model CA, serial #69

The Early CA Cunningham tractors most likely had a Cunningham engine. When you got it from the factory as a complete tractor. The tractor chassis was also sold separately as unit # D-29408. You could add your own engine. This was the larger of the product line and also called the Truck Gardener. It was equipped with 4 X 18 tires. The Cunningham line also included power lawn mowers and sickle bar mowers. Toward the end the Cunningham engines were not as widely used and their equipment often had Briggs & Stratton engines on them. The Cunningham company was began in 1838. Most of the tractors were made in the 1940's

Adam, I can't answer your question about when , but can tell you that it came with a Cunningham engine. They are fairly rare and look a lot like a Briggs the blower housing is quite a bit different. Good luck, David
