Help needed please. I have a cub cadet model 1105 that seems to hesitate or lurch while it is in gear.Is there any adjustments to the linkage that I can do to stop this.I put a new drive belt on but it didnt help.If anyone knows how to do this or has a service manual I would appreciate it thank s for the help.

Dale, does it do this in ALL gears? Do you Know that the belt you used is a genuine CC belt or was it a "will-fit"? The dimensions are going to be critical so be sure to use a Cub Cadet belt only for that application.
The reason I asked if it does that in all gears was this> If a tooth is broken in a tranny gear it will do exactly what you describe. I think the 1105 used a Peerless transaxle. If they have a broken tooth (not uncommon) they do that. Another possibility is worn shift keys in that transaxle. First step for you is to determine that the belt is correct and installed correctly.
Next determine that any springs for the belt idler pullies are functioning properly. The clutching mechanism uses a backside idler. A backside idler functions by taking up the slack from the transmission pulley BACK to the engine pulley. The load placed on the belt actually increases the tension that way,so if this is functioning properly that should not be a problem. Third, try driving it up a slight uphill grade(be safe!) and see if the problem become worse. Listen carefully for a "snapping or clicking" sound which would indicate transaxle problems as mentioned above.
You can purchase a manual for that tractor from your local Cub Cadet dealer at minimal cost. It would help you determine if your belt is routed correctly, and the troubleshooting guide may assist you with the current problem.

The model tells you the cu in displacement of
23, so the h.p. is @ 9 h.p..
The manufacture year is 1977 according to the code number. Fish
