I just bought a Brady walk behind tractor at an antique power show this weekend. It was very rerasonably price and runs well.

Can anyone tell me something about these tractors?

Are they rare?
How many were made?
Any info would be great.
It has a snow plow, disc, and rear plow

Thanks
Dave

My Bready Tractor has a Clnton engine with gear reduction, I have owed mine since 1960 and knew of another person who had one. I used mine for cultivating, hilling potatoes, snowplowing and sickle bar mowing. The tractor performed well at these task and I used it steadly for four years doing gardening, mowing and snow plowing. i have an original Clinton operators manual and my tractor is all orginal.

I have a Bready walk behind tractor made in Solon Ohio. If your tractor is a Bready it should have a serial number ID tag on the frame where the handle attaches. Mine has a Clinton engine that slides to engage the belt. I have seen newer Breadys that had some parts made out of aluminum, mine is cast iron and plate steel. I was last able to obtain parts from a dealer in 1960. I am also looking for information about the company although my tractor is complete and restored but not fully assembled.
