I hope you guys can help me with my B&G on my roto-tiller. It is running semi-rough, it idles and starts good but under load you can hear it missing then it will start stalling but always starts again and then maybe for awhile it will work fine. I have cleaned the carb, changed plug, new gas (thats what it almost seems like is water in gas where it works fine sometimes and then start acting up). I have not changed the condenser or points yet but it always starts so good ?? Could this be the problem? I hope you guys answer questions about little 3.5 hp engines. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks

On the carb there are two screws, the idle adj. , and the main jet adj. These needle valves regulate the amt. of gas entering the carb. For your problem usually opening the main jet slightly will greatly improve this problem. Keep adjusting the needle valves until the engine runs correctly. -Nick

if it older than 1985 it will have points and condenser. I would change it over to a electronic ignition or add a megatron to your present coil and eliminate the points and will also work with a snall amount of wear in the main bearing.

The bushing on the flywheel side for the crank may be bad.....That will do it...
