Hello Ralph, Look and see if you have a rectifier under the blower housing on the carb side. There should be 3 wires from the alternator connected to it. If you do you have a dual circuit system. The fuse holder (if you have one) is just that. It takes a 7 1/2 amp fuse. the rectifier changes the ac to dc. The one on my case 108 is bad. If yours is good you should get 12 volts dc or more off the red wire. The black wire is for the lights, look for ac on it. If you don't get the dc voltage I have the info on how to test the rectifier. Let me know.

Intrested in your JR - got any pictures. I live in WV, little bit of a drive but not impossible.

Clutch sounds like fun but may be able to be fixed of the teeth of the clutch plate are in good condition.

Had the same with the JR I just finished.

Thanks,

Robert, in response to Doug Snook, I have a Gard'n Mast'r (Garden Master) with a hand crank Wisconsin engine. I have transmission trouble and need manuals. Don't know a lot of particulars but the DeSoto transmission sure rings a bell from my childhood.

Can you help? Anything is appreciated.

Doug, Howdy!
I have 3 Garden-All tractors a model S3 walk behind, a model JR SP rider and a model G rider, and a few implements. I live near Liberty Indiana where they were made. They are somewhat easy to find aroubd these parts-e-mail me if you have any questions.

Frank:
I have a Gard'n Mast'r that has a seat and B&S engine. Dad and I bought it about 30 years ago. It runs good and doesn't appear to have been used very much. Its still green and orange and has no sign of any decals or name painted on it. I'm thinking of selling it on ebay and wonder if you have any suggestions for it's sale.
Thanks
Jim
