I salvaged a 14 horse Economy Tractor (1972?) with two transmissions. It has a manual three point hitch assembly, tractor tread style rear tires and wheel weights all around. The drive shafts are missing. The torque tubes are there. Does anyone know where I can buy the drive shafts?

Also try www.tractorbarn.com. He has many resto parts including reasonable decals and obsolete parts. Nice guy, I've delt with him in the past while restoring my '72 Jim Dandy.

I have a 1962 jim dandy that I want to get rid of...it is is in great shape but it needs...

a new right rear brake
and is bad need of a new paint job...

However, it has been garage kept for over 20 years, (it sat in the garage for 20 years without running)

I only have the front plow for it and no other attachments...

However try this link

What I really want is a trade for a trac-vac type system - its a lawn vacumm that you attach to your tractor - the 5hp model would be fine...

Even trade

I have seen the trac-vacs go for 200-1000(new)

Re: 73 cub cadet dies when it gets warm in reply to steve, 06-14-2002 17:09:55
Check your fuel cap to see if the vent in the top is plugged. you may be creating a slight vacuum as you consume fuel, if there is no way to vent the tank. this prevents fuel from reaching your carb. had this problem on my rototiller. would start right back up & die again.
