I just purchaed a roto riller with a Lambordini diesel engine, but I don't know the manufacturer of the transmission and rest of the thing. Anybody have any ideas which manufacturers might use these great diesels? Need parts.

Fred,

I have a BCS or Mainline rotary tiller equipped with the 8HP gas egine, but the documentation also refers to a version with a Lombardini diesel. Mine is direct drive with a wet clutch and a 3 speed transmission. I have the spec sheet on the Lombardini engine and it lists a Central States Distributor.
PO Box 348
London, Ohio 43140
(614) 852-9733
Now this document is dated 1978, but I also have a local rep here in Syracuse NY, JC Lucas & Sons (315) 655-8146 who may be able to put you in touch with a suppier in your area. I've had my BCS for 15years and use it year around to rototill and blow snow. Its a great machine. Good luck!

Hi, my BCS is a gas powered 8hp rotary tiller model 715 and it needs help. I think it has a blown connecting rod. The piston is still free moving, but probably needs some work also. I live in Kamiah, Idaho, 260 miles south of Spokane, Washington. I am looking for a service center to get it fixed or replaced, I have had mine since 1977 and love it. Any help you can send me would be greatly appreciated. I tried the phone number you show and it is no longer in service. Thank you for any help. Carl Miller

Hi, just ran across listing on the web looking for parts for Mainline Rotary Tillers with an Acme engine. You can obtain all tiller and engine parts at:

Mainline of North America
81 U.S. Route 40 London, OH 43140
740-852-9733

Mainline was the original importer of BCS tillers, marketed under the name Mainline, we later changed manufacturers to SEP. We carry parts, attachments and offer service for all these machines.

Mainline was also a Howard Rotavator distributor in the 1950 through 1962. We have a great number of parts for the tractor mounted units and for the Gem two wheel tillers

We also import Goldoni Tillers and carry tillers, parts and attachments like the reciprocating spader.

These units last a long time and we are aware that people are looking for parts, service and manuals.

Many Thanks,

Paul Sullivan
