Looking at a used Bolens snowblower, about 8-10 HP or thereabouts. Is the Bolens brand name an actual manufacturer or the equipment or another "house brand" that someone sells (along with another 25 brands of the same thing)? Also, are they considered a quality product in yard and garden equipment? I have no knowledge at all of this kind of stuff. Thanks for the help.

Bolens was a highly respected mfg of L&G equipment. I believe they have been bought out by Troy-Bilt (who also bought Gilson). If you type in an address www.bolens.com , it will take to to the toy-bilt website. Gadget
