Re: Where to find: cheap John Deere mower seat? in reply to Brendan OMara, 03-08-2002 20:10:17
I have recently searched for a newer seat for my JD 160. The quality of other brand replacement seats don't match the original John Deere. You might get lucky if you advertise or find one at auction. Good Luck

Re: CubCadet 1000 motor mounts in reply to Peter Bertini, 03-06-2002 14:51:55
you'll notice some vibration but not enough to make you not like it. they rubber mounted them to make them smother & quieter. all the previous years they were just solid mounted with noe rubber mounts . it won't be worse than your 71

your 1000 is the first attempt IH cub cadet made to make a quiet , smooth tractor, the rubber mounted the engine , put side panels on it , made the big exhoust box on the front for cooling all efforts to make them more freindly to consumers

Re: adding hyd valve to jd 300 in reply to Al, 02-08-2002 08:46:05
Hi Al. I'm pretty sure it is an open center system. I would guess that you would just tap into the supply & return lines that go to the factory lift valve, as that would give you constant hydraulic oil flow. Anyway, I hope this helps.
