I have a club car golf cart with the starter generator. I put a new starter generator on it, new voltage regulator, still no charge! It starts fine but have to keep recharging the battery. Is there any way to check the starter generator without the regulator hooked up? Wish I knew the wiring diagram but can't find one. I think someone may have wired it up wrong. PLEASE HELP!! Even at full throttle no charge. Just want to try and see which leads to check on the generator itself somehow to see if the wiring is wrong. Any ideas will help.

It's not a drive, just a short putt. The devil made me do that.
Disconnect the wires from the start/gen, with the machine running, then check then use a clip jumper to the F terminal from the battery positive side. The A terminal should produce 14 volts or more. The F terminal should have one wire coming from the regulator. A terminal should have a wire to the battery and one from the starting switch or solonoid. These systems are famous for screwing up and sucking the battery dry.

Actually the club car, 1997+ with counterclockwise starter, we have is the exact opposite. Connecting DF to ground, the yellow wire from the regulator, causes full rate charging.

I have a one year old battery that seems to be doing this. I haven't tested it as you have stated mainly because I have no mechanical knowledge. I don't know what F and A terminals are. I was wondering if there are charging brushes that may be worn out and where they are? Can these be replaced? This is a 1988 model and hasn't previously done this.
