Can anybody tell me what years the Ford LGT 100 were made? We have one and we wondered when it was made. I can't find any info othere than a couple of pics I've seen. Thanks.

The first ones were made in 1966 to 1976,They came in two styles,The lgt and the standard tractor number. The lgt series had an electric clucth, the earlier ones had the power drive system(mechanical. The earlier ones had the option of manual trans or hydrostatic, and many implements, plows, snow blowers, etc. The earlier ones were called a 80,100,or 120,came with a 42" aluminum(and a 168" belt)deck.Stout one too.I have an 80 and a 100,both are 1967 models, both still run and work very good.I use them in the garden and to cut the grass.I have some of the plows that came with them, but can't find the lift hitch assembly. If you can help me find them let me know.By the way I have all the orignal manuals that came with them, parts, owners, deck owners.I can get the parts drawings for any of the tractors anyone has,by my local dealer. All I need is your model number(lgt, standard)I'll get it and fax it or send a file. And check this out, they only cost $1,100 brand new with all the emplements

The serial numbers are pretty worn out and hard to read. Maybe with a magnifiying glass, I can get the numbers and post them. The tractor needs some carb work, but we are hoping to use it next spring along side our Ford 8N.

I believe they began building the "LGT" series in '72.I don't know the last year they were built. My father bought an LGT100 in '72 and my brother is still using it. One heck of a good machine.

Try including the serial and model # in your posted note. This may help. Eric
