I guess there's one in every crowd, but I have had my very first bad experience with a seller who replied to a Wanted ad I pleaced here and at AT.This individual told me he would sell me a Cub Cadet pan seat "in good shape." I sent him the money, but the one I got had been cracked 3/4 of the way around the middle and poorly welded. When I emailed him about it, he said there had been a mixup and my seat had been shipped to a guy expecting a cracked seat. He VOLUNTEERED to send me my money back. That was like 4 weeks ago, and we have emailed back and forth, but still no money back. Even though he volunteered to do it without my asking. Finally, I emailed him and asked him if he was just stringing me along, and I haven't heard back since then. A word to the wise out there: 99.9 percent of GT enthusiasts are honest people who will do what they say. But keep your guard up for the .1 percent. This is my first bad experience with misrepresentation. It's something I as a seller would never do. But I'm learning a lesson about what some will do for the almighty dollar. I know when I read these kinds of messages, I always think there are 2 sides to every story. So I have kept our emails as evidence of what I just said. I won't give out the individual's name or email address publicly, but if anyone here would like it, I will sent it to them by private email so they too will not fall victim. If it can help someone else not get taken, it's worth it.
