I have a Graham-Paige Rototiller and I need to know what the proper 2cycle mixture is?

Quoting from the owners manual on these Rototillers that were manufactured from 1946 through 1952: for the first 50 hours use one pint per gallon of gasoline of SAE40 2cy oil below 70 deg and SAE50 above 70 deg. After the first 50 hours of operation reduce the mix to 1/2 pint oil per gallon of gasoline.

you need to use a high quality of "ashless 2 cycle oil" or it will fowl the plug and immediately upon doing so will stop the engine. Then just take the plug out and clean it, then you will be back in operation until it fowls again.

The oil that they originally used was 2 cycle aircraft engine oil.

Hank, You can never go wrong at a 50:1 mixture using a quality 2cycle oil.
