Came across post card showing Shaw Manufacturing Company. Post card made in 1950's> Card is picture of looks to be Dodge truck with Fred Stevens Phone 345 and Arkansas on the door with what looks like a bear holding a barrel or sign.( I seem to remember this company logo and the bear was yellow) On the wooden side boards is SHAW Garden Tractors. On the side of the bed is Shaw-Du-All Tractors. In the forground is a man standing behind a two wheel tractor. In the background is the Shaw Manufacturing Co. brick building(they also made power mowers) behind that is a grain elevator looks to be flat ground so was probably in east Arkansas. Anyone know anything about this tractor and what town they were manufactured in. Can also see railroad crossing cross bucks which would tie in with the elevator as shipping point. Any ideas would be appreciated. AD

Unusual Vintage Tractors by C.H.Wendel shows a Shaw Mfg Company of Galesburg, Kansas beginning in the 1920's as manufacturers of a variety of garden tractors and other farm equipment as well as an automobile tractor conversion kit for the Ford Model A and Model T and Chevrolets of that period There are still a few around even 1 or 2 on eBay right now! I hope this helps..Good Luck

Thanks for the answers. It was just that I had never known of any place that manufactured the garden tractor in Arkansas and was just wondering where the picture was made. With the three didget phone number and Arkansas on the truck door and the flat ground and grain elevator in the background I thought it could be some place in east Arkansas.
