I had trouble with my rider last year. It was running fine and then I shut it off for a while and went to start it again and it would'nt do anything. So I stored it for the winter and just got it back out. The battery is fully charged but it still wont do any thing. Then I decided to cross over at the starting coil and the starter went backwards. Any help is apprciated. Thanks in advance.

Your battery went completly dead. You hooked up charger backwards and charged battery backwards. (Yes, this is possible, I've seen it done several times!!!) The fix for that would be to completly discharge the battery (headlights work great for this!) and connect the charger properly and start over!! This has probably blown the charging system, unless a fuse happened to blow first, and, if you did blow a fuse, that is why the starter relay will not engage. The other posibility would be if the battery had been removed, and then re-connected backwards.

i am guessing it is a permanent magnet motor and if you reverse polarity it runs in reverse works same as power window or power seat motor in car
i use these all the time to power turn snow blower chutes and deflectors
im not sure but you may have blown the charging circuit on unit, im not familiar with your particular unit hope this helps art
