I just bought a Wards Garden Mark Squire 10 with a mower deck, snowblower, and push blade. I have no info on it, though. I've had it a month and every time I use it something breaks. I could use an owner's manual. Does anyone know where I could get one?

I have an oem manuel for 8,9,10 and 12 Hp. tractors. Made by "Gilson" for Wards. If you have part numbers a New Hollend Tractor dealer can get some of the smaler parts.

I have been working on a garden tractor that was given to me by a friend. It is a roper lawn tractor with various colors of paint on it and i would like to know if any one knows what is the original color for that type of tractor.I am trying to restore it for a 4-h troactor pull and any information would be helpful. Thanks, Patrick

I'm not sure, but I think that one's a Gilson. I think the "largest" Simplicity-made Squire was a 10HP one in 1965 timeframe. Try finding a serial number for it -- if it starts with GIL then it's a Gilson.

It was sold by Wards. It was built by Simplicty or Gilson.Going by the info you gave I'd say it was built by gilson.I think I have a manual for one .I'll need to see if I can find it.I have one I'm parting out I'd sell parts off of or the hole thing. I don't have the deck.

I've heard of them, but never seen one. I do have a garden mark myself though. Its a Lawn Trac Sr. 5-3/4hp rear engine rider, with no steering wheel or brakes. Has a stick in the center, you pull it back to engage the clutch and go, and then push it left or right to steer. Strangest thing one ever did see.

Anyway, this thing I have was made by Simplicity in the Late 50s. Mine is either a 1958 or 1959. Has Made by Simplicity on the model/serial number tag on the frame. Your might be made by the same. You can check www.simpletractors.com and see what info might be there.
