Are all David Bradley Hoods the same?? I have the chance to buy an older (46-49) model with a good hood and I have a 56 or newer that needs a hood. Are they interchangeable?????

The hoods should all interchange, as far as connecting to the tractor. The thing to watch for, is the opening on the rope starter side of the engine. The older models had a rope that you wound by hand, and the opening was smaller. Later models had a recoil on the rope, so that you didn't have to wind the rope by hand. The opening on these was larger.

Not all David Bradleys had hoods. There was an economy model which went without the fancy hood. Are you sure the 56 had one?
