Check on the IH Cub Cadet forum as I know at least one guy who put a new B-S Vanguard V twin in a 682. Otherwise, contact Don Vogt in Wisconsin at dvogt-vpe@ihcubcadet.com. He is an engine genius.

Is the Briggs seized or just worn out? The reason I'm asking is that I have a 582 with a seized Briggs. I'm currently evaluating repower options.

First of all thanks for reply Glen,No the motor has the all to common loose exhaust seat that the owner before me let go,and ran it for about a month without fixing it! and now has a pretty smashed up head! I was thinking of TIG welding it back up and re machineing it, but i just don't know if it would be worth it. I can get my hands on a KT-19 Hp kohler but i'm not sure if it will fit.I also just picked up a 782 complete (less motor) that i plan on making one real good one, out of the two. Stuck between a rock and a hard place in Bay City,Mich Mick
