Could anyone help me understand why the deck level lever, with a new cable, will not keep the front end elevated after selecting the desired height? Many thanks for any help!!!!!

Dave

The old Dynamark literature that I have specifies that the front of the deck is intended to be lower than the back. One theory that I have heard is that this reduces the drag on the blades as the blades do not contact the grass when at the rear of their rotation. I think about 1/4" lower for the front should work well.

Bus Driver, Do you happen to know the part# for the deck spindle on a dynamark 1136?

My Father bought a Dynamark new about 1985. Model 1136 if I remember correctly. He died 1991. I was never able to find any literature for it. Mother died January 2002 and I have since found the original owner's manual. I think Noma now owns the name Dynamark-perhaps contacting Noma would help. Every time I spot a junked Dynamark, I ask about the literature-no one has ever been able to find their paperwork for the junked unit.

You seem to have very helpful info. I have a 12hp Dynamark w/ 38" deck that I've been trying to limp along. My deck has 2 springs. The smaller one fastens to the cable used to engage the blades. The larger appears to apply pressure for the pulley brake. My problem is that I can't get the right tension and may have the spring(s) installed wrong. I've tried a variety of different ways with no luck. Could you show photo or diagram of proper installation of springs?

The model is 3611-1500. Certainly not the best mower I ever saw. Only 3 speeds forward, very limited deck height adjustment, steering allows for only very gradual turns. Engine access is difficult due to the hood being bolted in place.

Is the cable installed correctly? Did you do a front to rear adjustment on the deck when you install the cable? Later Butch
