I am restoring a 1050 and am in need of a engine . Since a replacment is needed I would like to go with a few more HP than the 10 HP . How much power can the drive train handle without going overboard ? What engines make a good swap ?

I had a 1050 for 20 yrs. with the 10H.p. there is no need for more power in that tractor it is a power house. The old machines Had real engines in the and great trans.
That tractor will out pull any of these new High h.p. tractors of today.
