I have a 2518 cub used it to pull tree stumps out after huricane Isabel. Also I have a hydro tiller I till up about 1/2 acre. In my opinion it a much heavier built machine than the JD 225. Shaft drive 150lb. cast iron hydro transmission servicebal filter the trany holds 6qts. of fluid. I'm not saying the 225 is not a good machine, the cub is just heavier built for my needs. GREG

I have a Johne Deere GT 225 Lawn tractor. I was mowing yesterday when it just quit altogether. After checking all the necessary components of combustion I discovered a No Fuel situation. Not out of gas, I started a search of the fuel system and all I could find was an electrical switch inside the carburator that looks as though it is a normally closed swicth. I checked for voltage on it and there wasn't any. Does anyone know about this particular situation and where does the wire go? If it goes to the sensor board,I just bought I would really like to know...
