I own a 62 702. I have several attachments including a deck, Plow, Sickle bar, Snow blade, Corn planter, and Cart. Every time I mow or plow, the engine seems to bog down under load. Any Suggestions on how to correct this problem? Please Email me back at drhifi@chartermi.net I have a newly rebuilt engine in it. It must be an adjustment of some kind. If anyone can give me any hints on how to make it "pull" stronger, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Don

Don , Two things to check .
1)The timing is it correct ?
2)The gas .... is it getting the correct amount ?
The 702 should have a Kohler K-161 and the points should be set at .020 and the plug at .025 . Check the carburators presettings which should be 1-1/2 turns for the low idle screw and 3 turns for the high idle . Check the choke for being stuck closed and kinks in the gas line also . I had a similar problem with a Wheel Horse 1054. After going through everything else (as suggested), it turned out to be some grass seed stuck in the gas line leaving the tank! At slow speeds, enough fuel got by to run normally, but under load, it, well..., sucked! A pain to clean out, but it runs great when clean.
