I have a Ford LGT 120. I am looking for any information on this tractor. I cannot find anyone who has ever heard of it. I got it at an auction in PA. It has a Kohler motor and runs like a top. I use it to mow about 3 acres. I need a new deck and would like to know if implements or any add-ons were made for it. Please Help!!!!

Jacobsen made those mowers for Ford so if you can find a Jacobsen GT 12 you'll have a the same mower as your Ford. I picked one up at an auction for $30.00 to use for spare parts. Turns out I use it for my primary mower now. They dont make em like that anymore.

Thank you, that is very useful information. I got mine at auction also. I had no idea that they were made by Jacobsen. I use mine all the time.
Thanks
AJ

The previous poster was correct about the manfacturing year buckets. Once you know these, you can get a lot more info from 'friends' on the Internet. I wouldn't expect much help from your local New Holland shop. I have yet to find one that is friendly.

Take a look at groups.yahoo.com/group/jacobsengardentractors

Look in the photos section and figure out exactly what you have.

If you have a 66-71 series I can give you lots of guidence, if it is a later series, I am sure someone can help.

I looked at the pictures on the website you suggested and I believe I found my tractor. It is a LGT 120, however, I don't know the year. It is exactly the same as Picture #001 and #003 in the photo section of the website. Can you tell what year it is?? Hope to hear from you soon. I am still looking for implements (snowthrower, tiller ect.)
Thank you in advance
AJ

Thank you for all the info. I will check out that website, and I will probably stay away from the New Holland factory. I will check tomorrow and tell you what I have, hopefully it is a '66-'71 model.

Thanks again
AJ

In a way you have to go thru a penance of sorts for the good deal or old tractor sometimes. It depends upon how you look at it. If it is a Jacobsen it is very heavy-duty, not so well supported by partscounters yet an effectve dependable machine. The very durability of a product like many fine tractors limits the amount of spares a company can justify over 20 or 40 years storage so it is self defeating monetarily.
It's another mini-paradox of stuff happening all over.

I think that I have it pegged to a Ford LGT 120. I was given a website from someone else and will be investigating the pictures there. I will let you know.
Thank you
AJ

You can get wearing parts at your local New Holland (was Ford) dealer, 1 style was made from 1966-1971, 2nd style from 1972-1976 and 3rd style 1977-1983, you need the numbers off of the plate to determine the year, complete decks are not available anymore but I have not seen one that could not be repaired, our old dealership has some attachments for the 1972-1983 models.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate the information. I am new at this, so when I ask where the plate is, try not to laugh too hard. I live very close to a New Holland plant. I will check it out. By the way, where is your old dealership?? Again, thanks for the info and hope to hear from you soon.
PS I am also interested in any implements.

The plate is either at the bottom of the dash or on the frame in from the L.H. front wheel. Our dealership is near Harrisburg, Pa., a plant will not have any parts or info, you must go to a dealer.

That is great information. I live in Lewistown PA, so I am about 1 hour away. I will look for the plate tomorrow and let you know. You have been very helpful. My business is yours.
Thanks again!!
AJ

Hello. I have a single stage snowblower and mounting frame for a LGT 120 in beautiful shape! Problem is that it is in New Brunswick, Canada! If anyone is interested let me know.
