Exhaust fumes are making me sick

most lawn tractors we know of exhaust from the front, which we, at least, find blows up in our faces in most winds and speeds.

1. is anyone aware of a tractor with 42-48 inch mowing deck, good vacuum and bagging capability, and if possible loader capability, which pipes the exhaust up or behind the rider? model no. is appreciated.

2. does anyone make a retrofit kit for stack pipe (or exhaust pipe routed to behind the rider) for various engine/tractor types? if so, can you provide contact details.

3. if not, does anyone have any suggestions re how to put such a retrofit together (ie, what type of pipe to buy, how to attach to muffler and to support it, etc.). we are afraid that, although i we are handy, we have no real detailed conception as how to do this.

the more detailed the assistance you can provide the better. thanks for your time.

Check or have someone check your carb settings etc.Modern small engines run very lean, and exhaust should not be a problem. Also the "tailpipe" is usually directed to one side or the other, you could try a cheapy deflector to point it elsewhere....rigid copper pipe elbow slit and hoseclamped on works good...too much tailpipe will create back pressure, which can cause valve problems and overheating.
