I have a 12 HP Crafstman, that was running while I was dumping mulch from my cart. It stopped running with kinda of a clunk, now it won't start. The starter appears to be spinning much more freely than it used to. As if it's not doing anything to the engine, just spinning freely. Any Ideas?

Thanks

I Had a Craftsman 12hp ohv given to me, but the only thing is I didn't get the owner's manual. I need to know how much oil and the setting of the spark plug is and air cleaner type to give it a spring overhaul Help! thanks.

Just noticed that when I try to start it, oil is pouring out. Looks like I may have cracked the block. Looks like I'll be throwing the Tecumsah 12 Horse from the parts tractor I just bought. That's the Transaxle, now the engine I've had to replace inside of two weeks.

Sounds like the rod broke and put a hole in the block. If you are interested in a new replacement engine at a bargain price let me know.
