Brass Plate!

Hi Everyone,

I writing to you for help on a brass plate I found. My hobby is metal detecting. I found this brass plate and it looks like it was attached to a tractor. It is approx. 2 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. It says Erd. Under Erd it says "valve in head". Erd is in red! On the upper right hand side it says " 30 hp tractor engine", then model no. (I can't read), Engine no. 9542, under all this it says "Lubrication". There is more under lubrication but I can't read it. This is a very ornate brass plate and I was wondering if any of you people could give me a idea to the age of this item! I've never heard of Erd tractors. Are they still in business? If so where are they located? Thanks alot for your help in advance!

ERD was an engine mfg. only. They sold the engines to tractor or auto builders.Probably from late teens/20s.
