I have a 317 that recently has started to vibrate. It seems OK at some throttle/gear combinations. I can't see any broken or loose motor mounts. Any ideas?

Look at the drive shaft from engine to transmission.Probably has a ujoint freezing up are slack in it.Fixed mine with a new shaft as you can't buy just a joint.

Bob - 317s do have a tendency to vibrate. I believe Deere came out with a kit years ago, with some rubber engine mounts. Don't know if it's still available or not. You might check with a local Deere dealer. May take several dealers, since some may not be aware or want to take the time to look. - Dave
