Just bought a 2082 cub with a haban 60" deck. It mows terrific! One little problem. When going up or down hills it varies in speed A LOT. I even held the hand lever in place to eliminate possible movement there. Can anyone tell me the possible cause? Has new oil and filter.Linkage seems tight from trans case to handle. Hill is a gradual climb.30'degrees

Most of my experience is with IH-made Cub Cadets, but there will be some type of spring governor for the hydro, usually located at the hydro where the linkage attaches to the speed control arm of the hydro pump. Weak springs and wear in the linkage or spring slots there can cause speed variation problems.

Get yourself a service manual for it from Cub Cadet by calling 1-800-800-7310. Good folks, high quality manuals, fast ship, reasonable prices. What else do ya need? :-)

My 2082 Cub Cadet needs to have gasoline drained.
No information in my owners manual about how to do that. Any body got pictures or help? Engine spits and sputters, bigger filter helps for a while but think I need to drain and can't understand why tubes to tank when opened don't drain out.
