I ran into the same problem. Researched wheels for a couple days and found one person that could get me some brand new rims. About fell out of my chair when he told me the price, $230 each plus shipping. So back to the drawing board. Took the measurements of the rim and found out that the center hole is a standard agracultural wheel with a 6 on 6 bolt pattern. Now they only come in 14, 15, 16 inch rims. So you can go that way or if the rims are still good and the centers are bad you can do what I did. I had my dad (who is a machinest) make me new centers for my rims. I cut out the old centers and welded in the new ones. Took a couple of hours and a little planning but have been using them for a year with no problems. So good luck

I have a Bolens Ridemaster from the 1940's that I would like to restore to it's original condition, the body is fine, and everything works the way it should, I am going to grind and paint it, but the front tires are rotted out and the back metal part of the wheels may disintegrate, and I cannot find 161/2 inch front tires. Also does anyone have any info on what happened to Bolens? I am currently repairing the motor, a long and hard process, it is a Wisconsin model AKN, I have a manual for both, and whatever happened to Wisconsin anyway?
