Briggs coil

I have an Agri-Trac crawler, 3ft wide, 6ft long, 14hp(?)Briggs engine, model 23 with a bad coil. Where do I find one. Engine has coil inside of flywheel, book calls it a "Magna-Matic". Coil has an iron rod that goes thru middle of coil, is removeable and does not get replaced with the coil. Any help is appreciated. I have several piles of dirt waiting to be leveled. Local dealer said, Can't help you. Dan

Hello,I just went to www.jackssmallengines.com
Went to the price data base for Briggs & Stratton part number 290880.
The coil prices at $89.50 US.
You can still buy the coil or get a used one from any Briggs & Stratton engine model 9,14,19,23 all have the same coil

I can get the coil new from aftermarket supplier for almost half that price feel free to give me a holler if i can help on any old briggs or clinton parts
