I,m having a difficult time locating wheel weights for my Cub 782.I checked withthe loc. dealer .He says he gets them from Cub.There $150.Aren,t weights somwhat universal?I got 12 inch rims with the 4 square holes.I,ve see many tractors with this.I saw some wheel weights at Lowes. They fit a 800 series? Lowes sells Cubs.I looked at them they mounted through the square holes.Won,t they fit?

1787045975 Cub Cadet John deere wheel weights rear.

Here is a set on ebay right now for sale and they should do you just fine... shipping is around $30 or so. The numbers are the listing number. Or as Jim said use the weight lifting weights (try Goodwill or Salvation Army stores). I had a friend give a whole weight lifting set to one of thoe stores last year.

David, weight is weight unless you are restoring and appearance is important. If you can find wheel weights that fit yer tractor cheap, buy 'em. For example, if you have access to a cutting torch or metal band saw, you can go to Wally World and buy 25-pound cast bench weights for $10 each. Cut out a spot for yer tire valve. Drill holes for your carriage bolts. Mount to rim and GO! Get 4 and you have 100 pounds of wheel weight for $40 plus tax and a bit of elbow grease.

I talked with EZ Weights today and I am not impressed at all. If your axle sticks out further than the rim (at the hub)(YOU) will be resposible for making spacers to attach their spindle system to the accessory holes in the wheels and also the hardware will not fit if you need to modify. You have to buy new hardware. Oh ya, they also told me that it is expensive to send weights so I should buy the body building weights from a store. I admit that there permanent spindle attachment was atractive so that all you do is slide on the weights and tighten one nut in the center, but with all this work I will make the effort mentioned earlier in modifying body building weights by drilling and grooving for air stem. Living in North Carolina at least where I am only gives me the chance to snow plow once or twice a year so setting up for plowing cheaply will help me afford a 60" finish trail mower. Thanks everyone. Bob

In response to your comment. These are not my weights. Just passing along a link. With a little bit of metal and labor on your part you may come up with your own design.
