I have a used head for this engine. It came from an engine that lost the balance gears. It needs cleaned up where some junk (pieces of piston ring) got between the piston and head. The valves, guides, and seats are all in good shape. I may also have rocker arms, valve cover, pushrods, gaskets - I'll have to look. $40 for all of it.

Dave,

Seats are NOT replaceable through Tecumseh. You
can only buy cylinder head. I cannot find the 143
engine model number in my information. Please
check it again to see if the numbers are correct.
There are ONLY 2 heads that fit an OH140...33673
and 34775, both are expensive, $200 & 168. The
guides are inexpensive...part #730218 for $15.53.
Your BEST best is to search for a "USED" head with
good seats. If the guides are worn out, they can
easily be replaced. I would suggest buying a cast-
iron engine repair manual that will document the
changing of these guides to prevent any damage to
the head you obtain. Manual part #691462A & can
be bought from ANY Tecumseh Dealer. Feel free to
e-mail me if I can be of further assistance. Best
wishes in your repairs....These are GREAT engines
and WELL WORTH the expense to repair !!!!
