Over the weekend I spent some time on the tractor, checking wiring etc.. I did notice that in one of the cylinders that there was alot of moisture(water) coming out of the plug hole when you turned the engine over and also not much compression. Could this be a head gasket or stuck valve

Do you have spark? Is the carb really throwing a lot of fuel through it? these had a history of weak condensors and the composite floats would swell with gasahol and flood the engine out.

I would check for spark at the plug right? (remove plug and turn is over).

Mike, That's the way to check, at the plug. I had the same thing because of a short that kept blowing fuses. Ran fine, all of a sudden, nothing. Haven't had a condenser problem yet, same one I bought it with, 4 years and probably 400 hours. Good luck, let us know what you find. Steve

They had a recall on the 85's for the condensor replacement but not everybody was advised. A couple of months ago I was using mine to put in a new yard and all of a sudden it lost power and wouldn't even pull a bedspring. Cleaned the points, adjusted and timed it and now it runs fine again.
