Have new generator starter, voltage regulator and new points, checked carb. Now when it starts it will run to low idle and when you give more throttle, watching the points it will idle up and then will be no spark at the points, then it will resume firing and kick off and die. But it will idle all day. Help i am ready to give up.

I may be wrong and I'm sure I will hear about it if I am (oh well) however are your points set to fire too soon so that you are firiing too slow at a higher r.p.m.? In other words they are actually closed when you are at fast idle. Let me know if that is what it is.

The k341 in my jd 300 did the same thing.Turned out to be a poor conection of the ground strap. When reved up,the vibration would break the circuit.Found out when I tried to move the tractor after dark, noticing sparks between the sheet metal shrouds.cheep fix, worth checking(run it in the dark)
