Can any of ya'll tell me what was available for this model JD? Like a sleeve hitch, snow cab etc. I have one that was given to me. It was in a barn for 10+ yrs. Rough shape but runs w/ deck. I'm trying to figure out if I want to rebuild ( has several problems, spark plug stripped, needs new fuel line, some times I have to jump solenoid to crank) or find a any used tractor w/ attachments, ( snow removal & mowing ).I am in need of manuals also! THANKS C.D.

Put s helicoil thread insert in the head for the soark plug, that way you have steel threads in the aluminun head, and save a bunch of money. It can be put in with out removing the cylinder head if you coat the tap with grease to catch the shavings as you work the tap. Gene

I have a 210 and it has been a good tractor. There are lots of attachements available for them but good ones are pricey due to their age.

The spark plug stripped I assume means the threads in the head are stripped. You can replace the head pretty easily, and used parts are available. The fuel line is an hour's work for a klutz like me, and the solenoid maybe fifteen minutes work.

I have manuals if you need to ask a question. Otherwise buy the manuals if you keep the tractor. You will refer to them fairly often.
