I have been watching this site for 3 years and have never seen anyone inquire about the AMF 1414 lawntractor. I am a collector and just wonder if there are any other AMF iron owners out there. Also looking for implements for the tractor, especially the snow blower.

My father had a '74 AMF lawn tractor (Western Tool model). It was an 8/36 model. The engine was a B&S vertical w/ electric start. He bought it used in '82. It came with a 32" snowblower attachment, too. He doesn't have the tractor anymore, but still has the snowblower in his front yard, lol. Would that fit your AMF? I think I can still locate the tractor (although the engine won't run).

I have an AMF Monte Carlo 8 horse lawn tractor. My dad bought it from Montgomery Wards in the 70s. I need to do some maintenance on it and any advice would be appreciated. I need to change the brake/clutch pads and it looks like there is a keyway in the rear axle/wheel. How do you remove this? And the tractor doesn't want to shift into reverse or 2nd when it gets hot. It's an I - pattern with 1st and 3rd on the right. Don't quote me on that pattern though. It's still in usable shape and I hate to send it to the boneyard. Thanks for any help.

We have a 1974 AMF 1414, (14 hp, right) that my dad bought brand new. It was only recently replaced by a Kubota, but was put away running strong. We have the factory plow, and also have a snowblower for it, but is not the original AMF one. My grandma also has this tractor. Nice to know people have interest in these tractors. Great machines. Kohler motor in ours.

Doesn't appear to be a lot of AMF brand tractors out there, but they did make the early Massey series. Maybe some of the implements and parts are interchangable. What years were the AMF 1414 made, and is it the same as the MF14?

I have a AMF garden tractor, 10HP and its an old Single cylinder tecumseh cast iron block

I have seen that the Massey Ferguson MF-10 garden tractor is almost identical. I have a snowplow on mine now, but would love to get a snowblower attachment for it as well
