Dane,
I just had mine rebuilt. Very common from the 50's thru early 70's. It's a Delco on my 67 JD 112. Cost me $70 to rebuild the entire thing at a fix it shop. They even painted it. Cub Cadets used them the most they told me.
Good luck,
Steve

It should have a belt pulley on it, and its wired very similar as a generator. The F terminal on the starter/generator goes to the F terminal on regulator, and is usually a 12 or 14 guage wire. Biggest difference is the A terminal on the starter/generator has a battery cable that goes to the start Solenoid. This energizes the starter portion when the key is turned to start so it works as a starter. When you let off the key, and the engine runs, its now a generator. The voltage regulator I believe is wired just like any other system with a generator charging system. I haven't looked closely at the ones on my 3 tractors in a while, but this is what I remember from when I last had to repair one (about 5 years ago)
