A short Panzer story. Right before New years, a friend and I were out looking in an old junk yard. As we were riding around that day, I related the story of the Copar Panzer to him. We stopped in an almost defunct junk yard to look at a 1955 Ford F-800 road tractor. The tractor was pretty far gone. Nestled in the weeds was a little RED tractor. As I stepped closed I almost fell over. I called him over and said "LOOK". "Yea, it's an old tractor" he said. "Read the Hood", I said. Copar Panzer!! All original an almost all there. Of course, the Junk yard owner wouldn't sell it. I'm definetly going back to try and pry it out of his hands. Does anyone know if the early Panzers were Red before they were painted powder blue from the factory. Phil

ACPhil, in regards to your question, yes the original Copar Panzers were painted red. I don't know the exact year blue came into use. For a while the T-102's (3 wheels, w/single tire on the front) were red and the standard tractors were blue.

Try the Panzer club on Yahoo. I have a T-102 and a T-65. I also have a little lit on Panzers (mostly copies) that I'll share if you need it.
