Anyone have a good fix to not shear off the bolts that hold the rear gear carriage together (In the transaxle) I have replaced these bolts 3 times now and repaired the punctured casting of the transaxle twice. Any Ideas?

Does the carrier fit together nice and snug before you bolt it together? The only other thing that I can think of might be an alignment problem with the housing. Don't take it personnal but do the bolts have eight lines going outward on the head of the bolt and do the bolts have a long shoulder on them? I've seen bolts out here in stores marked grade 8 but they only had three lines on the head showing that they were grade 5. If you had the correct bolts try finding some Lawson grade 10, I used to use those when all else failed. Good luck.

Have you been using grade 8 bolts.

RedTractorman, didn't CASE have an upgrade to solve this problem. Seems to me Brandon told me something about a different type of bolt used on the later models. Tom, are the bolts all breaking, or are some of the nuts coming loose. If the nuts come loose they will break much easier.

This time only one broke. The last time 3 of them broke. Any idea of what the torque should be on these bolts? I will check with Ingresol and see if there is a different bolt. Thanks for the info.
